Kanye West Has Reportedly Been Hospitalized
It looks like Kanye West’s week might have gotten even worse.
TMZ is reporting that Kanye is currently in a hospital in LA following a welfare check by police. The cops were allegedly called to check on Kanye at 1:20 p.m. At some point, paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital.
Those are the only details right now, but the news comes after a rough few days for Kanye. First, he made headlines for saying he would have voted for Donald Trump, alienating many of his fans. Then, he arrived at a concert 90 minutes late and only stayed onstage for 30 minutes before ranting about Jay Z and Beyoncé (and implying Jay Z has killers coming for him — possibly a joke, but still). Finally, his remaining Saint Pablo tour dates were canceled with no explanation.
This also comes less than two months after Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in only October.
She is supposed to be making her red carpet debut again tonight in New York City after a break from the spotlight, so she might be in NYC while Kanye is still in LA.
UPDATE 1: Kim Kardashian West apparently didn’t show up for the Angel Ball. But Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble did show up and posed for photos, according to Just Jared.
UPDATE 2: E! News confirmed Kanye’s hospitalization, which is a big deal since they are affiliated with the Kardashians. E! says he “admitted himself” to the hospital because a source told them “he is exhausted.”
They say there was no criminal activity and the hospital visit is for “his own health and safety.”
