Not to say we told you so, but here’s arguably the most famous up-and-coming model in the world at the moment, Kaia Gerber, rocking the wallet chain.
This outfit is surprisingly simple and easy to recreate (just crop a black hoodie and find some low rise trousers which, by the way, have also made a comeback): but the pant chain makes this ensemble. They’re actually a really simple way to make any outfit more interesting and elevated, as shown above. They can make a boring outfit edgy, or make an edgy outfit even edgier. Juxtaposing them with more formal wear like these trousers is always a good look.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what initiated the return of this look. What we are realizing though is that these are low-key just wallet/key chains in disguise being robbed of their original function and appropriated to look way, way cooler. This fact is key, because it makes it way easier to find dupes:
