The night included performances by Lucas Bin and Frank(ie). Guests were also treated to a limited edition zine which included photographs by Gabbriette and art by Davidenth.

The collection consists of bodysuits, print tops, and accessories bearing a cheetah print. Some of Bechtel’s photography is even used as graphics on some of the tees, and a few of her tattoos are embroidered as overlays on some pieces.

We were lucky enough to sit down with Gabbriette to talk about the collection, rock n roll, and what’s next for her. Check out the exclusive interview below!

How would you describe your personal style?

An organized mess. I’m a different person every day and my closet reflects that.

What is rock n roll to you?

Not taking anyone’s shit, sticking to what you know, and love, if it’s important to you.

How did this collection come about what was the inspiration behind it?

I originally shot the lookbook for Junk Food F/W 18 collection and from there we decided to collaborate on this small collection! We were inspired by pieces from my closet that I’ve worn to death – tees and specific patterns.

I wanted to create shirts that any of my friends could wear and have forever. Junk Food’s original t-shirts are classic already so it wasn’t a hard task.

What song do you have on repeat at the moment

“My Cherie Amour,” by Stevie Wonder.

You used a lot of your friends in this collection – what does friendship mean to you?

My friends are my family. I’m inspired by each of them, they’re who I look up to, and they are my biggest supporters/vice versa.
