JAYDENA LIVE LOVE DOLL

Rising international music artist, model, and LGBTQ+ activist Jaydena is barring it all in her new single “DOLL“. As she gears up for her new project “Lucid Dreams”, she caught up with Galore to talk about music, disrupting the music industry and what to expect from Jaydena in 2026 and beyond!

FEATURE INTERVIEW:

Talk to us about your latest single.

This song is a reintroduction to the world, not just after my baby ANGELTOWN, but who I am now. “DOLL” is everything I’ve always loved about pop music. It’s glossy, addictive, dirty, sexy,  melodic, and incredibly psychotic if you’re paying close attention; one of the many layers  reflecting what I experience—from being worshipped to being destroyed at the same time.

I worked on it with this hottie French producer, Malo Bertrand, I hope he doesn’t kill me for saying  this, but during one of the very first studio sessions we had, I took him to a strip club. It wasn’t  even planned—it just kind of happened. And I think after that moment, he understood the  assignment, my sound, and who I am inside and outside of the studio, how everyone is always  looking, always seeking something; all through our Parisian nights.

DOLL is not just a very well-produced song—it’s a statement:  if you’re going to objectify me, I’ll become the most expensive object you’ve ever seen.

What lyric is the most meaningful to you on this new record?

The entire track is incredibly delicious, but the chorus hits hardest:

But I won’t break, I won’t obey

A body trapped in golden chains

Flashing lights, measuring tapes

They tried to wind me up

and wind me up and wind me up

And wind me up

Press play

The world rewards the illusion, but surviving it, now that is the real piece of art. And as the doll  breaks free out of the mold, she understands her stance in her own power.

How can we protect the dolls?

Protecting the dolls is not a trend—it’s a responsibility. Hire us. Pay us. Put us in positions of  power. Desire us loudly, but respect us even louder. And most importantly, believe us when we  speak.

With my nonprofit, I’ve been able to connect Mexico, France, Europe, and the world through  cultural diplomacy. Together with Vans, incredible Mexican artists, my family, and iconic  photographers Olga Varova and Alex Brunet, we brought #GOSHSAVETHEDOLLS to life.  I believe the dolls deserve to own the message—but the message needs to be carried by the  world.

What are the elements for being the ultimate doll?

Precision. Discipline. And a lot, a lot of gloss.  The ultimate doll is soft but strategic, beautiful but dangerous. She’s the one directing the entire  show while everyone thinks they’re controlling her.  Life in plastic, it is fantastic! But the real life version is way better than the fantasy.

How is your creativity disrupting the music industry?

I’m making pop music as a trans Mexican woman in Paris. I lead with sexuality, politics, fashion,  and cinematic storytelling—all at once. That makes a lot of people uncomfortable. Good. I’m a woman who loves out loud and freely. I had to understand how rare that is, and how much  it’s worth in today’s world—it requires recognizing the price of love. And when I overflow, it’s not  for fame. Everyone wants fame; I only ever wanted to be myself.

Now that I’ve healed and fully embraced who I am, there’s an immense power in my voice—and  it’s written and imprinted in my melodies. I cast spells with every song. And there is always love. I seriously can’t wait for you to hear the rest of the album. This is for the lovers, the dreamers, and  the brave ones dancing on the floor.

Who are your SHEROES?

Marsha P. Johnson, Bambi, Audrey Hepburn, Diana, Gaga, Adela Vázquez, Virginia Woolf—and  realistically, most of the women around me to this day. I get to see myself in my sisters,  soulmates, and lovers. All these incredible women have been teachers and instruments of my  becoming—not only in how I carry myself, but in why, how, and the purpose I now embody. I can  be this woman for myself, an artist for the world, and a teacher for my little sister, my niece, my  angels, my dolls, my girls, my gays and why not, men who are willing to deconstruct and  reconstruct themselves.

What is your philosophy on songwriting?

Only love will set us free. Vulnerability is key. Self-awareness comes from resilience. Songwriting  is seduction and confession at the same time. If it doesn’t feel a little bit dangerous, and it’s not  the reason I could’ve been punished, silenced, or destroyed in past generations—I simply don’t  really care for it.

PARIS MEXICO to the world—how does Jaydena define herself?

A cultural collision.  Mexico is my motherland; Paris is my homeland. I’m rooted in both, owned by neither. I wasn’t  born to fit into the world—I’m here to redesign it.

I aim to build a bridge as a Mexican woman, making waves globally, honoring my roots, my  ancestors, and my motherland. Paris may be my home, but the world gets to meet me too—all  while combinando la calle con la mode de Paris.

What is one song off the new album that shows your evolution as an artist?

“Lucid Dreams”, “Virgen Caída”, and “DOLL” are incredible pieces of my soul shifting realities. But this  entire album is a high frequency of love, sex, power, and visceral truths, it shows who I’ve always  been, who I am, and who I’m becoming. It’s an ever-evolving piece of art. And I truly want us to  experience it collectively.

What is your take on the world right now?

We’re in the midst of massive change. We’re writing heavy history chapters every day. There’s a  war on spirit, on love. And if we zoom out—even cosmically—there are cycles repeating, violence  and blindness are starting to take over. Innocence is still being destroyed at the hands of  ignorance and cruelty. We keep repeating the same mistakes.

For a world that’s obsessed with aesthetics, we are not keeping it very cute. This is also why trans souls and bodies represent so much danger. They go against what society  is trying to control—to own and to destroy.

But in this very moment, there’s this Mexican woman stepping into pop music and building a  movement—one that reminds people that love is the guiding force. I want to offer a different  perspective and invite you all to return to yourselves, to your hearts, to your centers—and elevate  together. Evolution.

We’re at a breaking point—and breaking points shift realms.

What is peace for you?

Peace has become a luxury. But strip away the theatrics—when you’re left with yourself—are you  calm? Are you whole?  Peace is protection. Peace is abundance. Peace is love reflected in every action. It’s who I hope  to be—and who I believe I am.  I fight for my angels and sing for peace every day. No woman should feel unsafe. No child should  die at the hands of a cruel, imbecilic mind.

Who was the last guy you sent a hot text to?

OMG, this is so cliché—but a super-hot finance bro I met at a rave. He inspired a very hot, very  bad decision, but also an even hotter lyric space. Delicious.

Is fame or love the ultimate drug?

Maybe, in my version of events, I am the ultimate drug—the embodiment of love. and fame is  addicted to me.

What is next for you?

Universal domination!   I want my pop music on every dancefloor—that’s really the direction. “Lucid Dreams” is just the beginning. I don’t want to spill all the surprises yet, but we have a lot of  beautiful things coming. And, as always, it all comes from love.
