Jade LeMac’s Life Changed With One Walter Boys Sync; Now She Has Four More.
There are career milestones, and then there are milestones that make a career. For Jade LeMac, her original breakout moment is coming full circle. It’s Always At Night, Jade’s latest EP, is finding a new life thanks to the same TV show that platformed her music five years ago.
When Jade released “Constellations” back in 2021, she couldn’t have known that two years later the song would be mega-launched by a single placement in My Life With The Walter Boys. Perfectly matched with an uplifting, pivotal scene in season one, the sync introduced her music to millions of new listeners. It transformed a song Jade wrote at 16 years old into the kind of slow-burning streaming phenomenon artists rarely get to experience.
“‘Constellations’ has been with me for so long now,” Jade told me, hours before taking the stage at Madison Square Garden. “It’s the song of nine lives. It keeps coming back to life.”
Today, that resurrection is quantifiable: the original recording is pulling approximately 500,000 streams per day, with its piano version adding another 100,000. The bigger evolution, however, is watching a song she once understood one way become something entirely different in the hands of millions of people.
“I think I was promoting it very much to be a woman-loving-woman kind of song because that was just my whole audience and my experience,” she explains. “But as time went on, people started seeing it as a really sad song, which made my perspective of the song change.”

Five years later, lightning strikes again. Now Netflix’s #1 TV show, My Life With The Walter Boys has come back to Jade for not one, but four more songs. Jade’s soaring hit “Running Home” underscores yet another turning point for the series in the very first episode, flawlessly timed with her opening lyric: “I’ve been chasing this for years.” Just ten days after the season’s release, “Running Home” is at a new peak performance in multiple international markets and seeing a 5X surge in streams.
“What do you mean, four songs? That’s insane,” Jade says, laughing in disbelief. “‘Constellations’ is what it is because of My Life with the Walter Boys. So I’m just really excited to have more songs in that show.”
Jade’s music, like the show, contains intensely personal but accessible songs, porous enough for listeners to climb inside. “Sleeping With The Lights On,” a vulnerable spark on her EP, closes out episode four, while “Intertwined” serves as an empowering backdrop for the show’s main character arc in episode ten. Lastly, “Sweet Dreams” floats effortlessly across the final scenes as season three comes to a stirring, emotional close.
The star-studded musician has had quite the year in terms of growth. Having just completed a national tour with Hilary Duff, including two nights at the illustrious Madison Square Garden, she’s now back in the studio working on her next project. Excitedly, the prolific songwriter tells me she’s been stretching into a darker, more R&B-driven lane.
“I used to think that I needed all my songs to sound really cohesive,” she says. “But I just realized that’s so not me.”
Being exactly who she is at every given moment is something Jade has been committed to since the beginning. Transforming in real time with the public eye on you is not for the faint of heart, but Jade is meeting her artist path gracefully. She’s moved in with her girlfriend. She’s thinking more seriously about her physical and mental health. She is, she says plainly, “growing up.”
And somewhere alongside all of that, a song she wrote at 16 refuses to stop growing up with her. “Constellations” may have nine lives, but it’s clear that the Jade LeMac solar system is just getting started.
