Ivanka Trump’s Pricey Jewelry Brand Is Dunzo
You might have learned over the last few months that First Daughter Ivanka Trump has a “fine jewelry” brand. “Fine” as in expensive, but also “fine” as in, “meh, it’s fine.”
Well, it looks like the people of America are not exactly clamoring to drop thousands on her stuff. Because Ivanka’s fine jewelry brand will soon be no more. Instead, her people are going to slash the prices and make stuff a little more basic to appeal to middle Americans.
Currently, her stuff “ranges from $400 to $25,000,” according to Vanity Fair. Aren’t you dying to know who bought it at those prices? How many people in the world have that much cash to burn and would rather drop it on Ivanka Trump instead of, I don’t know, Cartier?!
Guess Ivanka’s people thought the same thing, because they’re re-branding to make Ivanka Trump’s jewelry a little more TJ Maxx and little less Tiffany.
Abigail Klem, her replacement as president of the company, detailed the plans to make Ivanka Trump’s jewelry more “accessible” — cheap — to VF:
Klem [said] in a statement that the brand decided to discontinue the fine-jewelry collection “as part of our company’s commitment to offering solution-oriented products at accessible price points.” She continued: “We will be focusing our efforts on existing and new categories that are most relevant to our loyal customers—including fashion jewelry, which successfully launched last fall with price points that are aligned with the rest of our collection.”
Translation: your aunts are about to be positively slathered in Ivanka baubles! Maybe the First Daughter’s wares will even make it to QVC.
Keep in mind Ivanka is no longer involved with the brand, but we’re guessing she’ll be back on board as soon as her father’s reign of terror ends.
No word yet on whether the new iteration of her line will include White House chokers, but they seem cheap enough to make so we’d bet on it.
