Isabella Lovestory x Cece Natalie Tour Diary
Honduras based pop star Isabella Lovestory and NYC based pop sensation Cece Natalie. Have been touring the country together for Isabella’s North American “Vanity Tour“, and lucky for you, they’ve taken us with them! We caught up with the girls backstage at their sold out show at Elsewhere Club in Brooklyn, NY last weekend and we’re going to show you never before seen BTS that you don’t want to miss out on!

FEATURE INTERVIEW:
How were you able to bring the energy of your album “Vanity” to life on stage?
Isabella: I wanted it to feel like you were in Venus on acid. Some things simply needed were: inflatable baby aliens on an inflatable couch, lollipops, helium lipstick balloons, and of course real life sized unicorns to dance with. I think the goal for me onstage is always to have fun and make it look like a sexy magical place.
What are your top 3 on the road tour essentials you can’t live without?
Isabella: Beef jerky, liquid iv and rhinestone stickers.

What made you land on Cece Natalie and Ali RQ as the perfect picks to bring on the road with you?
Isabella: I love how authentic and punk they are. I think their music is amazing and fearless. They’re just real punk bitches, we have a lot of fun. I also didn’t want any boys on the tour, even the unicorns are girls.

What has been your favorite moment of the tour so far?
Isabella: Getting labubus from the crowd.

What has your first time on a tour felt like? What did it feel like to have Isabella seek you out for the opportunity?
CeCe: It’s nowhere near as scary as I expected. Especially being Isabella’s opener, I don’t feel afraid or alone at all. I feel like, “She can do this, and does an incredible job, so I can get up there for 30 minutes”. Being sought out for this opportunity made me feel lucky – & lucky that it’s an artist I really like rather than someone I’m not musically familiar with.
If it was someone I’ve never heard of or didn’t care for I’d definitely turn down a tour. I didn’t even feel ready to do this, but my intuition told me everything would be just fine. And so far, it is. There’s also great chemistry between everyone working on this tour. It’s me, Ali, Isabella and her brother, our tour manager, and our driver. We all find ways to make an 8 hour drive entertaining. It quickly starts to feel like you’ve known everyone your whole life.

Have you learned anything from Isabella while watching her perform every night?
CeCe: Absolutely, even from our first show in Miami. She has such a presence on stage. She doesn’t hold back even an ounce of her power. Watching her live for the first time impacted every performance I’ve done on the tour so far. I like to go all-out on my outfits now, I’m not afraid to dance and make jokes with the crowd.

What are your top 3 on the road tour essentials you can’t live without?
CeCe: My airpods. A stuffed animal version of my late cat Roxy. She sits in my lap for the whole drive. I can’t fall asleep without her, especially in the sprinter. Tweezers. I have strong urges to pluck any unwanted hair on my body whenever I see it and if I don’t do it I will go crazy.

CeCe Natalie
What has been your favorite moment of the tour so far?
CeCe: After the Orlando show we were all drunk on life. Everyone in the van was chanting at our driver, “We wanna feel something! Crash the whip!” over and over. I felt a little bad because he was just trying to drive but it was really funny and you just had to be there. I can’t really paint the picture with words. You just had to be there.
