How To Copy The Tommy x Gigi Look For Way Less
Everyone wants to dress like Gigi Hadid, myself included. So, you can pretty much imagine how disappointed I was when I went onto the TOMMYXGIGI website and discovered that a freaking cardigan was $275.
For us little people, that’s a pretty huge chunk of change to spend on a simple sweater. Lucky for you, I took it upon myself to help those on a budget steal the All-American inspired looks right off the runway for a way cheaper price. Here’s how you can pull off the styles for a whole lot less.
Back during fashion week, Gigi graced the runway in a navy blue band jacket layered over a sailor inspired cropped top, and leather pants. The look was accessorized with black fringed booties and a matching fringed bandana tied around the neck.
While the jacket Gigi donned on the catwalk may be out of your budget range, you can achieve the same look with a navy blue blazer from modcloth, a pair of faux leather pants from Forever 21, and very similar crop top from CustomizedGirl. Accessorize with a fringed bandana from Nordstrom and a pair of black booties from Forever 21 and you’ll be looking just like Gigi.
Taylor Hill was another runway favorite, sporting an oversized leather jacket over Gigi’s same sailor crop top and a pair of denim shorts with thigh high socks. Tommy had all of his models wearing fringed bandanas so naturally, Taylor’s look was accessorized with a matching black one.
If you’d like to copy this ensemble, take the same CustomizedGirl cropped top from Gigi’s look and pair it with a black biker jacket from H&M and denim shorts from Forever 21. ASOS has a similar pair of thigh highs and you can find a black fringed bandana from Rue 21. For shoes, Forever 21 also has a pair of super cute Faux leather booties.
Hailey Baldwin strutted her stuff in a sportier outfit, wearing a cropped red track shirt and shorts, white slide-ons and of course, a red fringed bandana. For this look, TopShop has got you covered with a cropped red hoodie and you can find similar track shorts from Urban Outfiters. DSW has a pair of stylish slide-ons that come in two colors and you can get a red bandana from FreePeople
Our fourth favorite look was worn by Sara Sampaio and consisted of a white faux fur bomber, blue patterned body suit and bandana, and thigh high socks. Although this look isn’t something you could necessarily wear to school or a family dinner, we found a way to make it work.
To turn this ensamble into something a little more wearable, layer a blue bodysuit from Urban Outfiters under a pair of Nastygal black high waisted shorts. Forever 21 has a faux fur bomber and you can take Rue21’s black bandana from our second look to accessorize. Top it off with a cute pair of Forever 21 booties and ASOS thigh highs and you can totally morph this look into your everyday wardrobe.
Our fifth and final look features Stella Maxwell in a sheer navy blue dress, sparkly blue thigh highs and a navy fringed bandana. We found a similar sheer bodysuit from Forever 21 and paired it with navy blue dress shorts from H&M, Nastygal thigh high socks and navy suede booties, also from H&M.
Complete this look with any of the bandanas we recommended from the previous outfits or any neck piece of your choice!
