I hosted The Baddie Brunch Mixer, a place for female entrepreneurs to link up

A few weeks ago, I hosted my very first event, “The Baddie Brunch & Networking Mixer,” which was sponsored by The Style Guru. Over 50 female entrepreneurs and young baddies in my city linked up to celebrate sisterhood, business ownership, and making money – all while getting lit off of mimosas at the same damn time.

For those of you who are like, wtf is a mixer? It’s basically people coming together in similar industries and networking, “mixing,” and mingling. It’s a great way to get to know others in your industry who could possibly help you or work with you, and so on.

But, I wanted to put a twist on the average mixer – we served a full course brunch, along with bottomless mimosas (with various flavors, because I like to do mimosas in a big way).

We had 8 amazing special guest who spoke to our attendees about their journey into their industries and allowed questions from our guests afterwards. This way, attendees gain some deeper insight into business ownership and the ins and outs of being a boss lady.

These dope ass women included: Chante Adams (who starred in a Netflix movie straight out of college), Arielle Martin (Realtor and owner of luxury candle line, Front & Scenter), HairMisses (beauty bar and line owner), Ebony Cochran ( Credit Consultant for Blackwood Credit Services), Autumn Kyles (co-owner of Detroit Dough), April “AP” Lockett (media personality & blogger), TreShon Lyniece (model & owner of Sky Scraper Collection), and Nae Clark (hair stylist & blogger).

Overall the event was everything I could have imagined it to be and more. The main takeaways that I learned from these women is to

1.

Never be afraid to try new things! Take the risk!

2.

Joining together with other women can be an amazing way to get your brand together and started.

Head to my Instagram for more pictures, videos and everything in between. Who knows, maybe I’ll be linking up the baddies in your city very soon.
