This Haircare Company Shaded Trump So Hard In Super Bowl Commercial
In just 30 seconds, indie hair brand It’s a 10 shared our distaste for bad policy and bad hair. Now you wouldn’t normally think of be presented with a haircare commercial during the Super Bowl, but after It’s a 10 Super Bowl ad that has all changed.
According to Nielsen, women make up 46% of the Super Bowl’s viewership. However, hairstylist and founder of It’s a 10 Carolyn Aronson decided after thinking about buying an ad in the past it was time the brand makes its Super Bowl debut with the new introduction of it’s new men’s line, He’s a 10.
Not only did the brand throw an obvious diss at the President-elect by starting the ad off by amusingly saying , “America, we’re in for at least four years of awful hair. So it’s up to you to do your part by making up for it with great hair.” The ad went even further taking a dig at Trump’s homogeneous worldview by letting us know all hair is inclusive.
“We mean all hair,” the voiceover explains. “His hair, their hair, that baby’s hair, that chest hair, that mohair sweater, that dog hair, that back hair, that girl’s hair, he hair, your hair, all hair.”
Carolyn shared in a press release, “Now is the time for us to come together. This ad captures the true diversity within American culture – we are all perfectly imperfect in our own way.”
After the commercial aired, Twitter praised and pronounced the ad one of the best Super Bowl ads of the night:
