Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger Are Throwing A Carnival
If you like carnivals, clothes, and Gigi Hadid — this is for you.
Tommy Hilfiger will create “Tommy Pier” at Pier 16 in South Street Seaport for his fashion show on September 9th. It’s expected to be a big carnival, “full of iconic fair rides and games, including a 40-foot Ferris wheel, classic fairground foods such as pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream sandwiches, cotton candy, lobster rolls, doughnuts and French fries. And fashion,” according to WWD.
The festival will showcase the fall 2016 Tommy x Gigi Collection and include a shoppable live-stream that will take place on tommy.com at 7 pm EST on the same day that the show goes live.
And if you think you’re going to experience some major FOMO, don’t give up too fast. “Half of the show’s 2,000 guests on Friday night will be consumers,” reports WWD. How do you get a ticket? Well, the best customers through “Hilfiger Club” loyalty program will have a chance to sign up for free tickets. So good luck with that one TBH.
But “Tommy Pier” will open to consumers on September 10th from noon to 9 pm, and the public will have a chance to shop two Tommy x Gigi pop-up shops, a vintage Tommy Hilfiger shop, and a record shop housed along on the pier.
