Gigi Hadid Says She’s ‘Not the Best on the Runway’
As anybody who’s ever watched America’s Next Top Model or even Sex and the City knows, walking the runway is allegedly a lot harder than it looks.
There are heels, there are eyes ready to criticize your every move, and somehow under all that pressure, you literally forget how to walk in a straight line without looking like a linebacker or a drunk person.
Gigi Hadid has been criticized before for not having the best walk in town and in a new video for W Magazine, she comes right out and admits that she knows runway is not her strong suit.
“It’s funny because obviously I’m not the best on the runway — okay everyone, we did it, Gigi said it, I know it!” she says, laughing. “But, what do you do? I never was taught how to walk on the runway, and maybe that’s because it moved really quickly for me, that people just assumed that was something I knew — so I’m working on it.”
Not that it matters anyway. Gigi’s career is clearly doing just fine.
Besides, she’s come a long way since her runway debut for Desigual.
