Frankie’s Video for “Blink” Will Help You End 2016 on a Positive Note
Not to get crazy mushy, but it is the holidays — and no doubt there is some crazy shit happening around the world, and we don’t even have Mercury retrograde to blame.
Here to remind us that we need to stay woke and in the moment, is singer and songwriter Frankie, with her new single, “Blink.” And even if we can’t change some of the bigger issues of what’s going on around us, we can focus on the good shit in our lives.
“It’s so easy to get caught up in day to day stresses and worry yourself over them, but at the end of the day there is so much more to life and so many worse things that could happen to you,” Frankie says.
The tune is a happy pop one, with a pretty radical sounding synth and melody, that’ll lift you out of that funk right quick. And to prove our point even further of being happy in the moment and not focusing on the bad shit, the video was made in some weird ass circumstances, but the crew got through it with a laugh.
“There had been a storm the night before, so getting up to the mountain was hard because there was mud everywhere, one member of my team had a flat tire and the electricity went out, so we had to do makeup and hair in a Baja Fresh…very glamorous and hilarious,” Frankie told us.
