Britney Spears AKA Queen of The VMAs Will Perform At This Year’s Show
Are y’all ready for this, because I am not!
The Queen of the VMAs Britney Spears is returning to perform at this year’s show on August 28th, and with Britney’s history of crazy af performances at the show, it’s bound to be good.
Rihanna is performing too, so you know the show will be lit.
Britney released this teaser video that is full of little throwback items, like the red catsuit from the “Oops I Did It Again” music video, the wedding veil from her 2003 VMA’s performance in which she kissed Madonna (whose birthday is today), and even Banana the snake from her ICONIC AF “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance at the 2001 VMAs.
We don’t know what any of it means, but if Banana is making a comeback, it’s gonna be a memorable performance.
And honestly, the VMAs would be shit without Britney, so it only makes sense.
“The VMAs don’t just give you a stage,” Brit says in the video. “They give you a story. It’s a way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever. Before you know it, it’s history. Before you know it… it’s Britney, bitch.”
