TBT: Here’s Baby Gigi Hadid Singing Christmas Songs

Gigi may not have grown up to be the best singer in the world, but back when she was just a little preteen, baby Gigi Hadid made her musical debut singing backup on Josh Groban’s 2007 christmas album, Noël.

Why?

Because despite recent events the world is wonderful.

Just kidding. It’s because her stepfather David Foster was producing the album and nepotism’s a thing.

Here’s Gigi singing “litty baby rum pum pum pum” at the 1:13 mark on Joshy’s surprisingly dramatic Celtic rendition of “Little Drummer Boy.”

And here’s her giving a little monologue at 3:51 on the sap-fest of a tune, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.”

“Hi, Daddy. Mommy, Bella and I are wrapping presents to put under the tree, and we saved one especially for you,” baby Gigi says into the microphone. “We miss you a lot, and we hope that you can come home soon. Merry Christmas!”

Even a scrooge like me has to admit that’s pretty frickin adorable.

Still.

Until Santa makes his red carpet appearance at the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade, it’s too early for Christmas songs.

I may be a liberal when it comes to political, social, and economic reasons, but I’m a red-blooded conservative when it comes to Christmastime.
