Amy Schumer Says Met Gala Guests Are ‘Dressed Up Like F*cking Assholes’
Amy Schumer is an official A-lister and member of fancy society at this point. She not only attended the Met Gala this year, but also got her first Vogue cover.
But that doesn’t mean she’s trying to stay on the good side of the Professor McGonagall of the Illuminati, Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Instead, she seems dead set on pissing off the inspiration behind “The Devil Wears Prada” with her latest quotes.
Amy was on Howard Stern’s Sirius radio show when he asked her about the Met Gala and she unleashed some serious truth.
“It’s people doing an impression of having a conversation,” she said. “I don’t like the farce. We’re dressed up like a bunch of fucking assholes.”
She continued, “I got to meet Beyoncé and she was like, ‘Is this your first Met Gala?’ And I was like, ‘It’s my last.’ I don’t like it. I have no interest in fashion. I don’t care.”
Anna Wintour, if you’re reading this, I am simply horrified by Amy Schumer’s disrespectful comments and aspire to one day be invited to your stellar and classy event.
To everyone else: isn’t it nice to know some things aren’t all they’re cracked up to be? At least being poor is real af.
