The Blonds Take Over Downtown Miami
Miami Art Week may look different this year, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the parties, glamour, and amazing energy that Miami has to offer.
Last night The Blonds, Galore, and the Miami Downtown Development Authority put their perfectly-styled heads together to launch the grand opening of ALT-B—an outdoor art activation running all month long on Flagler Street outside of the Olympia Theatre.
ALT-B features over 60 local Miami artists and came in hot on it’s first night with a private runway show by The Blonds. The show began with Key Maisonet rocking a metallic bodysuit with dollar-sign pasties and opening a gold corvette’s door to reveal Phillipe Blond. It continued with some of our favorite models—including Ari Gutierrez, Denise Bidot, Yovanna Ventura, and Bodine—strutting their stuff in to-die-for crystal-emblazoned corsets, bejeweled Cleopatra-esque headpieces, and metallic fringe pieces that said “tinsel, but make it glam.”
Guests, including our fave bad bitch Trina, danced in their seats as performances by Ivy Queen, Mariah Angeliq, and Vikina made it a true hot Miami night. Also in attendance were Commissioner’s Manolo Reyes, Eileen Higgins, and Ken Russell from the Miami Downtown Development Authority. Even if you didn’t snag one of the exclusive invites to opening night, you could watch on livestream from the comfort and safety of your own home (bedazzled corset optional).
