6 Cheap, Healthy Snacks Selena Gomez’s Trainer Swears By

Selena Gomez looks so fucking hot right now, and it’s not from eating junk food all the time.

Earlier this year, Selena dished on how Amy Rosoff Davis, her new trainer, forced her to get on board with a healthier diet, and today Amy spilled the beans to The Zoe Report on 8 cheap, healthy snacks Selena Gomez eats all the time.

Spoiler alert: everything is organic, so just keep that in mind next time you think you can get away with grocery shopping at the bodega across the street from your hook-up buddy’s apartment.

1. Lemons

Lemons help boring things like raw kale salads and water taste marginally more exciting. Therefore, they should be a staple of every healthy bitch’s diet.

Plus lemons aid in digestion, detoxification, and contain a high amount of Vitamin C so you can cut back on your sugar-filled class of OJ in the morning you’re still trying to pretend is good for you.

2. Avocadoes

Avocados are one of the few healthy foods that literally everybody likes. They’re full in vitamins, minerals, heart-healthy fats, do killer things for your skin and can even help you lose weight. Plus, they’re filling as fuck and can make even a boring breakfast of egg whites taste like a treat.

3. Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is full of fat, but luckily, it’s full of that good, heart-healthy fat.

Still, it definitely falls on the list of foods not to be consumed while you’re stoned and starving on the couch, although if you must, buying an organic peanut butter like the Justin’s brand is the way to go.

Sure, it’s $7 which seems like an absurd amount of money to pay for a jar of peanut butter, but let’s be honest, when it comes to losing weight, our wallets always have to take a hit.

4. Celery

Celery is literally the most boring vegetable on the planet, but as anybody who’s ever been on a diet knows, eating healthy is the most boring gift you can ever give yourself.

5. Carrots

No matter how you eat them, carrots are really good for you. They’re full of beta-carotene, vitamin K, potassium, antioxidants, and help lower cholesterol.

6. Persian Cucumbers

Cucumbers in general are low-calorie snacking options that are great for the skin and full of vitamins and minerals, and Persian cucumbers just tate a little sweeter.

While they can obviously be eaten by themselves, Selena Gomez likes to either “dip them in tahini, drizzle with olive oil and Maldon salt,” or marinate them “in rice wine vinegar, mirin (a Japenese sweet rice wine), sesame seeds, a dash of sesame oil and Bragg liquid aminos.”

Yum.

And that’s coming from a girl who HATES cucumbers.

You may not be able to get a body like Selena Gomez just by snacking like her, but hey, it can’t hurt things, right?
