A Zombie Movie Starring NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys Is Actually Happening

In what world would Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Jeff Timmons, and Erik-Michael Estrada team up to fight zombies?

If some of those names only sound vaguely familiar, it’s because they’re members of NYSNC, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, and O-Town, who’ve now returned from the musical undead for a futuristic western Sy-Fy movie titled “Dead 7,” written by none other than Nick Carter himself.

Nick Carter plays the protagonist, Jack, in the movie that ex-Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean is hoping will turn out to be a cult hit.

“Movies like this can turn into cult phenomenons, and that’s what Sharknado happened to be,” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I watched it, I’m like ‘OK, this is ridiculous, but I’m still watching it and I think it’s awesome.'”

Here’s the trailer:

They’ve also released a collabo theme song, which is giving me a strangely out-of-body experience, and that Huffington Post aptly described as a “distant cousin of BSB’s later hit ‘Incomplete’ mixed with sound effects Quentin Tarantino might’ve rejected from the cutting-room floor of ‘The Hateful Eight.'”

Listen below, and see Dead 7 when it airs April 1st.
