Tegan Phillipa Dishes All Her Beauty Secrets

Let’s be real… not everyone can afford to cough up $30 for each beauty product. Besides, there are so many affordable options that you can pickup at your neighborhood drugstore. Australian travel blogger Tegan Phillipa can relate. In the Q+A below, Tegan reveals her latest $1 drugstore beauty obsession.

The most important beauty product for festival season?

Glitter! Add a bit of sparkle magic! My friends and I usually will glitter ourselves up before a night or even day out.

What’s your biggest tip to healthy skin?

Eating healthy… a lot of veggies, avoid greasy or fatty foods, and drink a ton of water!

What skincare products are you in love with right now?

I’m huge on QV Body Wash and Skin Lotion. It’s free from soap, fragrance and color. Plus, it doesn’t strip away natural oils in the skin.

What’s your favorite drugstore product?

The cheap $1 nail polish sale bins! I can’t help myself… They’re always near the registers and are always asking me to buy buy buy!

How do you keep your hair so healthy?

I have an amazing hair dresser, Grace at @shaghair, that helps maintain my white/grey color without frying my hair. I also use Argan Oil throughout my ends daily. And I only wash it once a week using Matrix products.

If you could only do one workout forever what would it be?

Squats! They never fail!

What nail polish color would you be?

Rainbow glitter sparkles!

You’re going out for dinner and drinks with the girls. What color lipstick are you wearing? Any particular brand?

Right now I can’t stop wearing nudes and light browns! My go-to is called “Wonderland” by Sportsgirl — it’s affordable at only around $9AUD!

It’s beach season and you’re shopping for bronzer. Which one do you buy?

Mac Mineralize Bronzer in Give Me Sun. I’m not the greatest with makeup, but my best friend @ilonakishmakeup has been teaching me all the tricks!
