Unic Picnic Lisbon is dedicated to making their customers special days have the perfect touch of elegance and luxury through their services. We talked to the founders to learn about how they started their company and what customers can expect when booking their services.

Tell us about your company
Unic Picnic Lisbon is a service specializing in organizing private, aesthetic picnics. The company was founded by two friends—a designer and a vintage expert, and an event organizer. Thus, our organization is always impeccable, and each picnic is thought out to the smallest detail.
What makes the most beautiful picnic?
The emotions of people seeing our picnics for the first time! That is the greatest decoration! Additionally, the incredible nature of Portugal combined with unique vintage table settings and decor.
How do you plan your tablescapes?
Each of our picnics is unique! We select the color scheme, décor, table settings, and floristry for each picnic. Vintage porcelain plates, antique crystal glasses, candlesticks, tablecloths, and silver-plated cutlery—these historical items create an incredible aesthetic and provide visual delight during the picnic.
What is your favorite location in Lisbon to do your picnics?
We love organizing our aesthetic picnics on more remote beaches and in Lisbon’s gardens, as well as in the magical forest of Sintra.
Praia da Adraga, Praia do Guincho, Praia do Magoito, Cabo da Roca, Jardim da Torre de Belém, Monsanto, Sanctuary of Peninha, Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, Fonte da Telha.
Have you ever worked with any celebrities, if so, who?
Our project is only a year old, and during this time, we have managed to organize several weddings, hen and bachelorette parties, more than 5 proposals, a bunch of masterclasses, and birthdays. We cater to bloggers, businessmen, tourists, and families. But we have yet to host a picnic for famous people. We hope more people will discover our unique service.
Who are your heroes?
People who give emotions! People who pause and enjoy the moment! People who appreciate the combination of aesthetics and nature! People who value slow life, slow traveling, and slow fashion. Sincere, open, loving, and generous with their feelings…
What scent sums up Portugal?
The aroma of freshly baked pastel de nata and the leisurely scent of morning coffee. It’s a special kind of morning joy in life. Also, the salty smell of the ocean combined with wax, a taste of freedom where it’s just you, the ocean, a surfboard, and your thoughts.
What other services do you offer outside of picnics?
We offer a full range of services for organizing and decorating events. Everything from location selection to event decoration with flowers, hiring photographers, musicians, catering, vintage car rentals, booking tours, and creating travel guides. We even collaborate with retreat centers and hotels. We cater to people who love non-trivial events, travel, and entertainment.
How is your creativity disrupting the industry?
Our philosophy is sustainability. We don’t use plastic dishes and cutlery in our settings; instead, we give a second life to vintage tableware and décor items. We infuse these items with new meanings and do not repeat or mimic table settings.
We inspire! We strive to maintain high standards in organization and the exclusivity of our settings, constantly adding something new and interesting to our picnics.
