It’s 1:20 on a Monday afternoon and hidden within our Instagram feeds lies a naked Selena Gomez, waiting to laugh in our faces.
Or not in our faces per say, but at the ridiculousness that comes with being one of the most scrutinized celebrities in America.
Unlike most celebrity nudes, the candlelit snap Selena just posted to Instagram doesn’t have anything to do with sex or being sexy. It’s just her way of saying she doesn’t give a f*ck.
High on the list of things Selena doesn’t give a f*ck about you’ll find two words written in bold-faced letters: Justin Bieber.
This nude isn’t for him.
It’s for her, and for all of her fans who have stuck by her side as she’s transitioned from Disney princess to a woman who’s comfortable in her own skin.
Or at least, that’s what we choose to see when we look at her nude.
Maybe you’d prefer to think she took it to try and elicit a like or a comment from the Biebs so as to prolong the “will they or won’t they: gossip that’s dominated their relationship for years.
Think what you will, Selena Gomez still doesn’t give a f*ck.
