Rakiyah Reclaims Her Throne With “My Collection of Boy Tears”

Embracing her alter ego, the Cosmic Queen, Rakiyah welcomes listeners into her kingdom for the long-awaited final chapter of her ambitious Cosmic Love Odyssey with “My Collection of Boy Tears.”

Before pursuing music full-time, Rakiyah worked as an aerospace engineer and studied in South Korea, an experience that expanded her creative perspective and led her to incorporate both English and Korean into her music. Over the years, she has carefully built a universe that blends alternative R&B, ambient production, anime-inspired visuals, and cinematic storytelling into an immersive artistic experience.

The New Jersey singer-songwriter has landed on Spotify’s R&B Finds playlist and the cover of Pandora’s Alternative R&B while earning recognition from outlets including Teen Vogue, BuzzFeed, and Refinery29. Following her headline debut in October 2025, the rock version of “Ready or Not” amassed more than 11 million views on Instagram.

Across fifteen tracks, “My Collection of Boy Tears” maintains its momentum from beginning to end. Opening with “So God Help Me,” Rakiyah immediately pulls listeners into her galactic universe with her piercing vocals leading the way. “Know U Scared” follows with a polished blend of contemporary R&B, showcasing the control and emotional depth of her voice.

“Ready or Not” builds an irresistible atmosphere from its opening moments. “Love Cartel” delivers one of the album’s most memorable hooks. “Next Thing You Know” lingers long after it ends. “Change My Mind” highlights Rakiyah’s vocal range with confidence, and the finale, “Sometimes,” wraps up the experience with bright pop energy.

“In ‘My Collection of Boy Tears,’ we witness the Cosmic Queen’s awakening: the moment she begins to recognize patterns, wrestle with desire, hunger for revenge, and slowly do the quiet work of becoming whole again. It explores everything love promises and everything it costs. This album is a collection of what love took, what it tempted, what it provoked, and what it ultimately taught me,” she shared.

At its core, the album explores betrayal, resilience, and personal transformation. After a devastating fall from the stars, the Cosmic Queen faces the harsh reality of heartbreak. Rather than remaining defined by that pain, she embarks on a journey of desire, vengeance, and healing. She turns her tears into memory, currency, and power as she works to reclaim her throne. By weaving an intimate emotional diary into an intricate mythology, the album traces her evolution from vulnerable romantic to unstoppable cosmic force.

Rakiyah delivers a compelling soundtrack for anyone turning heartbreak into personal empowerment. The Cosmic Queen’s story comes full circle as she finally reclaims her throne.
