Penelope Cruz looks speedo-dropping hot as Donatella Versace

Before there was Donatella Versace, there was Gianni Versace.

And I mean that literally, because Gianni was born YEARS before Donatella popped out of their mother’s womb to say, “Ciao, fam.”

Long story short, Gianni founded the legendary fashion house of Versace, then got murdered by a pseudo-sugar baby, and now the whole story’s being turned into the latest installment of the American Crime Story series.

And here’s your first official look at what all that drama is gonna look like!

Side note: doesn’t Penelope Cruz look RAVISHING as Donatella? Truly a face that could sell a million handbags. Or you know, inspire two pieces of muscly man meat to drop their speedos.

Crazily enough, part of the show was shot at Gianni’s actual house, which was fancy enough to have its own name: Casa Casuarina.

“It was very moving, sometimes disturbing,” Penelope Cruz admitted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that’ll hit the web tomorrow.

Really? Get outta town, Penelope.

Anyway, we’re still a handful of months from the premiere of “The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” but since it’s impossible to spoil a historical murder case, if you need to know more, you can pick up a copy of the book they based the show off of: Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth.
