NYC’s most badass women are all meeting on a Brooklyn rooftop tonight
One of our favorite apps, DEED, is throwing a rooftop women’s empowerment event tonight at the swanky William Vale in Williamsburg and it is not to be missed.
In addition to talks from women who run shit at Planned Parenthood, The Wing, and Refiner 29, they’ll have a meditation led by Catrina Armendariz, a musical performance by Bianca Monica, and dinner provided by Jajaja! Plus Soulcycle Williamsburg will be hooking up all attendees with a free class credit.
Here’s the speaker lineup:
Danielle Kayembe (Founder/CEO @ Greyfire Impact)
Christina Chang (VP Public Affairs @ Planned Parenthood NYC)
Marianna Martinelli (Director of Community @ The Wing)
Lauren Bille (Partner @ The Big Quiet, Co-Founder @ Cycles & Sex)
Karin Bellantoni (Advisor @ Sheworx, Entrepreneurial Coach, Founder @ The Intuition Salon)
Lydia Pang (Creative Director @ Refinery 29, Co-Founder @ #THISDOESNTMEANYES)
Aren’t you just dying to hear the knowledge these ladies will drop?
By the way, in case you haven’t heard of DEED, it’s an app you can use to book volunteer opportunities in your area, the same way you’d order Seamless. So basically, if you wanna put some positive action behind your hashtag activism, DEED can help you do that.
“The more people committed to making a difference locally, the more impact we can have globally,” the founders said. You can buy tickets to tonight’s event here.
