Miley Cyrus Low Key Hates Her Engagement Ring
While watching the boy you’re madly in love with get down on one knee and put an expensive rock on your finger is fun, sometimes your boo buys you a ring that you hate, and since it’s super rude to turn up your nose and say, “try again, honey,” you have to just shut up and take it.
Unless you’re Miley Cyrus. Then you go on national TV and talk bout how you low-key hate the ring that’s supposed to be the symbol of your undying love.
During an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ellen said to Miley, “There is a photo that got a lot of attention of your engagement ring. Are you wearing it right now?”
Miley confirmed, Ellen told her congratulations, and then instead of gushing on and on about how much she loved Liam, Miley then launched into an explanation that can be summed up as: thanks, but I low-key hate it.
Here’s what Miley said:
“This is really weird because this is like real jewelry, and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy, and they don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up, so sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune. And [Liam’s] kind of like, ‘What’s going on? I am like, ‘This isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because you love me.”
Isn’t that sweet?
Never change, Miley.
