MEXICAN ACTRESS SAMANTHA SIQUEIROS IS IMMERSING HERSELF IN SPANISH CULTURE WHILE WORKING IN TV & FILM

Samantha Siqueiros has been working diligently for the past decade throughout Latin America in tv series as well as films. Currently living and working in Spain, we caught up with the Mexican actress to discuss her career, culture and to get an inside look of some of her favorite beauty items.

FEATURE INTERVIEW:

Tell us about your new tv show.

Berlin is the last project I worked on; it has been the best experience I have had so far on a professional level. It is a series recorded with great care, love and quality. I felt very lucky to work alongside actors like Pedro Alonso. As for the Plot, it is a series of love, comedy and tension that hooks you from minute one!

How is your creativity disrupting the Spanish film scene?

I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work as a Mexican in the world of television in Spain and I am glad that opportunities are opening for foreign actors with different cultures and accents. I’m sure we all have something to tell each other.

Who are your heroes?

My dad, my favorite musician and bohemian romantic, and Nathalie Portman, the actress who has inspired me all this time.

What is your beauty philosophy?

I definitely believe that beauty is subjective, it depends on the eyes with which you look. What is beautiful for one person may not be beautiful for another. In my opinion, beauty is a being or an object that has splendor simply because it is natural (it can be internal or external) and is pleasing to the eye or admirable.

When booking acting gigs, how do you decide which roles to go for?

Starting from the fact that life is a learning experience, I believe that the characters choose me at a certain stage of my life so that I can learn something about myself by playing said character.

What character have you played over the years that is closest to the real you?

All the characters have something about me, in the end I discover that we have a lot in common, so I don’t have any special ones.

What is your favorite Spanish cuisine?

Paella and ham croquettes.

What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?

Let her trust herself and take risks.

What beauty item are you obsessed with right now?

Definitely with a spoon to curl my eyelashes. It is essential when it comes to getting ready.

What’s next for Samantha Siqueiros?

Now I’m on a project in Spain for Atresmedia that starts filming in May, but I still can’t give many details!
