Maggie Lindemann is a total cancer, y’all
This past weekend, Galore kicked it backstage at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival, and we had the opportunity to chat with one of our fave babes on the lineup, singer and songwriter Maggie Lindemann.
Her anthemic tune “Pretty Girl” has basically been stuck in our heads since she rocked it on stage. But, as the song goes, she’s not just a pretty girl.
We talked about why she doesn’t like clout culture, her tattoos and whether she’s a “Lust for Life” or “Born to Die” Lana Del Rey stan. Check out the interview below.
Which trend would you like to end?
There’s so many trends I would like to end. But I think the fidget-spinning and clout culture would be what I want to end first. It’s fine, get your clout and I like clout goggles, but I feel like it’s the term I don’t like. It’s cheesy.
Who do you think would be a surprisingly good president?
Definitely Rihanna.
What’s one question you’re sick of getting?
A lot of people mispronounce my last name, which is okay and I understand, but people will say Lindermann and then they ask me if I say it with an R, and I’m always like no, there’s no R in it!
If there was one thing you could say to Lana Del Rey, what would it be?
I love her so much, she’s so amazing. I don’t know what I’d say, I just love her vibe, she’s so cool.
You’re putting together an outfit to impress, what’s the one thing you’re definitely wearing?
Boyfriend jeans.
What’s the last photo you took on your phone?
I think it was a pic in the mirror in the bathroom right when I got ready. *Checks phone* Yep, in the mirror in the bathroom.
What song would you use to describe your summer so far?
Lana Del Rey’s “Summer Bummer.”
Which of your tattoos is your fav and why?
Probably the one on my bicep because it has a really important meaning to me and I love the placement.

What’s ur fav cuss word?
Fuck.
What’s ur astrological sign and do you believe it’s accurate in describing you?
I’m a Cancer, it describes me I think a little bit, not fully. I’m really sensitive.
Do you get nervous before performing and if so what do you do to calm down?
So I’m not nervous right now. I only get nervous right before I go on, so I’m not nervous yet, I probably will be tomorrow and usually to calm me down, I just try and act like it’s just a show. It’s not the end of the world, you’re going to be okay. And I just like to talk to my friends on the phone. I like to keep it casual, not that I’m not super excited or that this isn’t a big deal, but if I do start telling myself it’s a huge deal and it’s the end of the world, then I’m going to start freaking.

I’m so excited to see Playboi Carti. Beyond excited.
What’s coming up next for you?
I’m working on a ton of new music. I’m really excited for it. It’s just been a lot of studio time, a lot of rehearsing and we have a ton of songs. It’s very different from what we’ve been doing and I think it’s a little more me so I’m really looking forward to it. I think the fans will love it, because I’m excited.
