Here’s a sophisticated fragrance that won’t break the bank
Finding the perfect scent has always been a struggle for me. This is mainly because most fragrances are so expensive.
The only time I get any perfume is for Christmas or my birthday or something special like that. I don’t even buy it for myself because I honestly feel like it’s a waste! It’s disappointing, though, because there should be a brand that has a decently priced fragrance that is still sophisticated.
We all want to move on from cheap Victoria’s Secret body sprays that smell strongly of vanilla and glitter, but we can’t really justify spending $150 on Chanel, either! It’s a battle, tbh.

When someone recommended Lively to me, I was kind of confused. If you go to their Instagram, you’ll see that they are originally a bra brand. They’re super size-inclusive, which is a huge plus, and they actually run pretty cheap.
They recently launched a fragrance, though, which seemed so weird to me. Would buying a scent from a lingerie brand be the best move if that’s not their main product? I got Lively’s scent, Jasmine. Sea. Sun., and hoped for the best that it wouldn’t make me smell like cake batter.
Packaging-wise, the bottle is really gorgeous and sleek, something that actually matters to me (for some reason?). The scent has a pink tint, and is finished with a gold cap.
But, the most important test is the smell. When I opened it and took a whiff I was a little worried at first. I thought it would maybe have too much of a floral scent for my taste.
When I sprayed it on my ~spots~ (everyone has their own spray preference, I go with wrists and neck), I noticed that it was actually a really enjoyable scent. It definitely has that jasmine smell, but it’s not overpowering as in most floral perfumes.
It also has this really nice hint of something reminiscent of the ocean. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it reminds me of when I used to leave Junior Lifeguards and my hair was crinkly from the sea salt. It smells like sand, waves, and fresh air.
There was also a nice balance of something fruity, which could be the pear that they have in the scent. That fruity scent really helped level out the whole fragrance in a way that made me feel like I was wearing an actual every day fragrance!

I feel like it’s so hard to find a fragrance that works for you every single day. It has to be perfect for you and also perfect for every setting at the same time. I really feel like Lively’s fragrance could be something I would implement into my daily routine.
I was looking for a scent that said “I’m an adult,” that also wouldn’t make me dip into my savings. The Lively fragrance is $55 (hello!) and it’s a good-sized bottle for that price, too. The scent lasted almost all day, and I was really happy with the end result of the smell. It just goes to show that it doesn’t have to be a big name brand in order to be awesome.
