Kendall Won’t Publicly Support Gun Control Cuz It’s Too Controversial

When you think of the Kardashians, you don’t immediately think of politics, and that’s partly because for every Kim in the family, there’s a Kendall.

While Kim doesn’t mind taking a stab, however symbolic it may be, at political issues, Kendall’s too afraid of people getting mad at her to take a stand.

This is a naturally-occurring phenomenon favored by people with few real problems that we have nicknamed “white girl syndrome.”

In a clip from this Sunday’s issue of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim, Kendall and Khloe have a kandid konversation about wanting to get involved in a political cause.

Kim starts the conversation by telling Kendall, “Khloe was telling me that you really wanted to get involved, in something” before offering up a cause that she supports, gun control.

“I set up a lunch with some gun violence victims, some family members that have been affected that I think would really love to meet you guys because they really do appreciate people like us speaking out,” Kim told her family members.

While Khloe’s immediately responded with an, “I’m down for that,” you could hear a pin drop while Kendall karefully krafted how she was going to break the news to her sisters that she’s just not that kind of girl. “I want to do this and I want to be a part of it, but it just makes me nervous, like what people are gonna think of it.”

Later on in an aside to the camera, Kendall elaborated saying:

“It’s kind of difficult because I know we are public figures and seeing how controversial it could be to speak out about something you’re passionate about, I just think I don’t want the attention of somebody not agreeing with what i’m saying to take away from the fact that there’s actual gun issues that need to be handled. It might bring more harm than good.”

Of course, it should be noted that Kendall did eventually find a cause she deemed uncontroversial enough to get involved in: voting. Just not for any one politician or party in particular.

While not every celebrity has to get political if they don’t want to, if you do want to, like Kendall seems to be, then you need to get over the fact that some people aren’t going to like you anymore.

Honestly, when you already have 68.4 million followers and the support of the mostly liberal fashion world and the even more liberal Hollywood crowd, it doesn’t matter if a few hundred ride-or-die conservatives turn their back on you.

It’s always worth it to stand up for what you believe in, and if you really want things to change, it’s not just something you should do it’s something that you have to do.

Obviously we’ll have to stay tuned to KUWTK to see if Kendall ever gets over herself and starts her journey towards being woke, but seeing as it’ll make one hell of a storyline, we have hope that’ll it happen.
