Kendall and Gigi Lost Model of the Year For the 2nd Time in a Row
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid may be the supermodels of the moment, but somehow both of them failed to win Model of the Year this year… again.
Instead, the honors went to Gigi’s younger sister Bella.
Every year models.com compiles “250 votes representing a wide range of the industry’s top professionals” to figure out who “the singular face that defined the year as a whole with ubiquitous industry demand and presence.”
And this year, they decided that model was Bella Hadid, which seemed absolutely crazy to me until I started scrolling through her Instagram.
While it’s still my humble opinion that Bella’s kinda boring and doesn’t hold a candle to her sister, Bella was literally everywhere this year.
On the cover of magazines:
Walking down runways:
Looking hotter than you on billboards:
And she was at major fashion events like the Met Ball:
And the Cannes Film Festival:
And she’s literally the face of Dior beauty.
She may not be 2016’s best model, but damn did she work her ass off.
