Junaco Invites Us to Escape Into Stillness With Their New Single

Drawing inspiration from nature, Junaco makes a serene comeback with their latest single, Escape, a soothing track perfect for unwinding after a hectic day. With its light percussion, velvety vocals, and the band’s signature organic style, the song feels like a quiet refuge from the chaos.

Escape is the second single from Junaco’s upcoming album, In Motion, and features Oliver Hill of Coco on strings. The project was born after a period of intentional isolation in the Northern California woods, where the band spent time completely off the grid, with minimal daylight, no internet, and little connection to the outside world. This deep introspection set the tone for the album.

Set to drop in September, the full record was later tracked at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas, engineered by Mario Ramírez, mixed by Jake Aron, and mastered by Heba Kadry.

Junaco was created to make music that breathes, music that holds space and captures life’s quieter moments. From their earliest releases, the band has carved out a space for itself among the new wave of West Coast indie acts. Their sound blends elements of folk, 90s rock, and soft psychedelia without falling into the trap of nostalgia.

In that spirit, Escape is a gentle call to step back from overwhelm, to momentarily leave yourself behind and see the world from a place of quiet. In a time that constantly demands our attention, Junaco offers a rare moment of stillness.
