Halle Berry Is Taking Social Media Very Seriously

Leave it to Halle Berry to approach her social media debut like an Academy Award acceptance speech. The 49-year-old actress has joined Pinterest (LOL), Instagram, and Twitter, and is celebrating by sharing some very serious thoughts with the world.

“Today is a very exciting day for me,” she wrote in a caption for her first-ever Instagram post. “I’m looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions. I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I’m excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy.”

Either Halle Berry is really just that excited about accessing a new platform, or she has literally never been on Instagram before and doesn’t know it’s not that serious. She debuted the same photo from Instagram on Twitter, which displays a lovely topless back in a forest-y area, accompanied by the caption “Hi everyone…”

 

So far, she’s only following 14 accounts, including those of Adele, Alicia Keys, Helmut Lang, and Art Basel, but is up to 35,000 followers and counting.
