Panamanian singer Chicocurlyhead and YUNA have teamed up on one of the hottest songs out right now. We got the chance to catch up with these two amazing artists to get a behind the scenes exclusive on how this collab came about and what we can expect from them in the future.

Recently you two released a collaborative track called “I’ll Show You”. Talk to us about the inspiration behind this song and the process of creating it.
“I’ll Show You” is a very special song that can be dedicated to anyone. The inspiration and process behind this song was probably the most organic I’ve ever had, I was singing to my son while bathing him and the chorus came up as I was humming and improvising. This song has a special place in my heart and along with YUNA, we were able to put it in a way that it would connect with a wider audience. – Chicocurlyhead
It’s special because a friend introduced me to Chico’s music and I’m actually a fan of his music, and the opportunity came at a time when I was kind of taking a break from music to focus on myself. But this song was so pretty and gave me such a nice feeling, I just felt like it was special and I had to do it. – YUNA
What lyric from this song is each of your favorites and why?
I would say the hook is my favorite part of the song because its simple and it hits home. The message and the way the song brings multiple cultures together at the same time is something I really appreciate, and that’s also one of my goals: to bring cultures together. The song talks about showing love and it’s something that the world needs a lot today. – Chicocurlyhead
From working together, what’s one thing you’ve both learned from each other?
I think that one thing we learned from each other is the way that we think about music and this world overall. Our mentalities are very similar in a way and the approach we have in our music is very wholesome. – Chicocurlyhead

Chicocurlyhead earlier this summer you released your latest EP “Everending Roadtrip” which features 5 songs. Which song is currently on repeat from this project?
The song that is currently on repeat from my EP definitely has to be “wasted weekend”.
Can we expect more collabs with you two in the future? If so, what type of song would you like to do together next?
I definitely would love to collab with YUNA again, we clicked so well since the first day that who knows, you might even see a whole project of us together. I think that would be great!
