Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: you can comment with gifs on Facebook!
And no, we’re not just talking about those weirdly amazing dog-in-love and Pusheen animations that have been available for a hot minute now.
We’re talking the entire Giphy library.
In honor of the 30th birthday of the gif itself, Facebook has blessed us all with this brand new ability.
All you have to do is tap the gif button when you make a comment, type in a key phrase that really sums up your current aesthetic (“turnt,” “hungry,” “hot to thot”) and tap your fave one. Voila, the cutest comment ever.
You’ve also been able to send gifs using Messenger forevs. In fact, 13 billion have been sent via Messenger in the last year, which is like 25,000 a minute. Damn.
Now go forth and get started with the gif comments. Also, make sure you vote on whether gif is pronounced with a hard or soft g (OBVIOUSLY the answer is hard, come on). To vote, search for “Facebook” in the main Facebook app.
