Camila Cabello Just Quit Fifth Harmony
Sorry Fifth Harmony fans, but your girl Camila Cabello just pulled a Zayn and quit the band.
On Sunday night the band released a statement saying, “After four and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”
Wait — “we have been informed”? As in, Camilla didn’t even have the decency to tell them face-to-face, even though they all did a show together earlier that day?
Cold.
But, don’t worry, the show will go on. For now, at least.
“That being said,” the statement continued, “we are excited to announce we will be moving forward wth the four of us — Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.”
Now, there’s basically one of two ways this could all play out.
Either they follow One Direction’s lead and go on to put out a decently cohesive and listenable album and a few music videos before going on an indefinite hiatus that’ll probably last until it’s time to makes piles of cash off a reunion tour, or they could pull a Destiny’s Child and come back stronger than ever after flushing a little dead weight.
Time will tell, but just remember ladies, all girl groups break up eventually.
