Calvin Harris‘ biggest claim to fame is that once upon a time he dated Taylor Swift for an entire year, and he never wants you to forget that, which is why he just wrote a song called “My Way” that’s probably about her.
“The song’s kind of about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing,” Calvin told iHeartRadio after premiering his latest masterpiece. “And it could be anything. It could be a job, or it could be a relationship.”
Only it’s definitely about a relationship. And not just any relationship, but a relationship with somebody whom Calvin calls “two-faced” and can’t help but remind us was “the one thing in my way” over and over and over and over again.
The only problem?
Nobody cares.
“My Way” is roughly thirteen news cycles too late. We don’t even care about Taylor and Tom anymore, so why would we care about this ancient history?
Also, the song is pretty horrible, unless you’re looking for a song that will make you want to bang our head against a wall halfway through just to make it to stop, in which case “My Way” is excellent.
10/10 would recommend.
If not, then just go back to ignoring Calvin Harris like the rest of the world is about to too.
