FEATURE INTERVIEW:
Your sound blends Puerto Rican trap with broader urban influences. How would you describe your signature style in three words?
Real, for the streets, rockstar.
Growing up in Puerto Rico, what local artists most influenced your early sound, and how have you seen the music scene evolve since you started?
Bryant Myers, Ozuna, Bad Bunny – mostly trap artists.
You signed with Warner Music—what changed most for you after the deal, both creatively and professionally?
After signing with Warner, things got more structured and organized. There’s a proper plan where before there wasn’t.

Talk us through your creative process: what does a typical writing session look like from idea to final mix?
It’s what I’m feeling at the moment. Ya know? I listen to the track and just go with the flow depending on what route I want to take. It’s always rooted in my feelings and I don’t take any lyrics from anyone.
You have made music with likes of Rauw Alejandro, Myke Towers and more which artists would you love to work with next and why?
There’s still so many people I want to work with. Cosculluela, Zion, Wisin y Yandel – I like them a lot. I also have so many collabs stored in the chamber that I haven’t shared.
Your music often reflects real-life experiences. Is there a track that means the most to you, and what’s the story behind it?
All my songs are based on real life experiences. I sing and write about what’s going on in my life. I think “IA” was a very real song ha ha.

Talk to us about your latest single LOVE what is the meaning behind this track?
It was one of my first crossover commercial songs I made. I really liked this song from day one but was always second guessing myself on releasing it. Since it leaked and fans kept asking me to officially release it, I decided to put it out for them.
How do you navigate the balance between maintaining authenticity and evolving your sound as you gain a global audience?
I try to keep my verses as authentically true to the streets while making more of a pop hook if that makes sense? I think that is my way of keeping a balance and it feels natural to me.
What advice would you give to aspiring artists in Puerto Rico who are trying to break into the industry, especially with major labels watching?
This isn’t for everyone. You have to have cojones. If you genuinely think this life is for you and you have your big boy or girl pants on then be consistent, don’t slow down, work everyday and dedicate your 24 hours to what you truly believe in.

What advice would you give to 16 year old Clarent?
I wouldn’t change anything or give him any advice. I needed to live my truth, I needed those things to happen because it made me who I am today.
What is next for you in 2026?
We’re going to keep doing us. We’re going to do things well. We always do things well. Oh, and an album is also coming – stay tuned.
