Yves Unveils “Soft Error,” A Bold, Futuristic Leap in K-Pop
Layered, futuristic, and unapologetically inventive, Soft Error is Yves’ latest release. The South Korean singer, known for her sharp artistic instincts, delivers a five-track collection where dreamy synths meet melodic melancholy, and boundaries are meant to be broken.

At the heart of Soft Error is “Soap,” the EP’s lead single, accompanied by a striking music video that blends everyday settings with studio shots and purposefully chaotic visuals. The result is composed chaos, Yves’ new signature aesthetic, wrapped in a silver-toned, forward-looking atmosphere.
A former member of LOONA, Yves shows no hesitation in reinventing herself. Soft Error arrives through PAIX PER MIL/ADA, featuring standout moments like a collaboration with multi-award-winning PinkPantheress, a playful nod to Rebecca Black’s Sugar Water Cyanide, and a bilingual twist courtesy of Mexican artist Bratty, who lends her Spanish vocals to “Aibo.”
Between dreamy synths and melodies steeped in melancholy, Yves unveils a unique style in Soft Error, reinforced by tracks like White Cat, which break structures without losing her signature aesthetic.

Before Soft Error, Yves had already conquered the charts with DIM, a song included in her EP I DID: Bloom (Deluxe). The track has amassed over 30 million streams and has become a global phenomenon on TikTok, with over 20.1 billion views of the official sound and millions of creations from users, brands, and celebrities. It reached No. 1 on the U.S. TikTok Viral Chart and the Global Top 200 K-Pop Chart on Shazam. Her solo career solidified in 2024 with the EPs LOOP and I DID, both recognized by Billboard, Dazed, PopMatters, and Consequence as among the year’s best.
After touring Europe, North America, and Latin America with her Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour, Yves kicks off 2025 with the Cosmic Crispy Tour, opening on August 17 in Osaka. The route includes stops in Tokyo, Taipei, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Manila, and Bangkok, with a special closing show in Seoul on September 28.
After leaving her role in a K-pop group, Yves continues to prove she can stand on her own and that she’s ready to take on the world, one song at a time.
