This VS Model Just Walked the Runway Pregnant
Even though nobody seemed to care about the VS fashion show this year, a surprising amount of interesting things happened yesterday.
VS let all their models wear their natural hair, Bella Hadid and her ex got awkwardly close on the runway, and one of the models walking in the show was pregnant.
Her name’s Irina Shayk, she’s 30 years old, Russian, drop dead gorgeous, and 13-28 weeks ago, Bradley Cooper’s sperm and her eggs met at a bar, had a few drinks, and decided to get to know each other better.
Of course, you could hardly tell any of this on the runway.
The only thing differentiating Irina from the other models onstage was that she kept her mid-section covered, or mostly covered, at all times. She is visibly pregnant, though, and reportedly in her second trimester.
While on the one hand, there’s a part of me that wants to throw my hands up in the air and say it’s unfair when models get pregnant and somehow manage not to gain any weight, but on the other hand, I gotta say this is pretty cool.
Victoria’s Secret, way to go.
You’re slowly inching your way towards being a company that embraces more types of body besides the super skinny kind.
