6lack Hosted East Atlanta Fairytale Screening This Past Weekend

Musician 6lack is known for always repping and supporting his hometown of Atlanta, GA. and this past weekend was nothing different. For the past few years, 6lack has held concerts or events around the holidays to show love to his fans and supporters and this year was no different.

Held at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, hundreds of fans piled in of support of the artists vlog style mini documentary about his career over the years along with plans to drop a EP with the legendary DJ Drama that’s almost completely finished.

6lack isn’t stopping their either, he also has a new project on the way that fans can expect to receive in the New Year as well. The audience of the documentary got to hear a preview of some of his new music and sit for a Q & A session with 6lack and his producer Childish Major.

Throughout the documentary 6lack talks about his mental health, therapy and coming out his shell over the years through his music. As a fan of 6lack myself, it was nice getting to know the singer a little more and learning about his journey through his own words. Along with his new projects he also plans to go on tour next year, so be on the lookout for that.

When asked about fatherhood, 6lack spoke about how his daughter Six pushed him to a more honest man to the people around him. He mentioned how his daughter is always looking to him for guidance and his music reflects his growth over the years. I’m looking forward to this new era of 6lack and can’t wait to see what he does next.  If you’re interested in hearing some of his music, my favorite songs are “Gettin’ Old“, “Temporary” and “ATL Freestyle“.
