Traveling is great, but it can wreak havoc on a girl’s beauty regimen.
Your skin, your hair, your sleep schedule, your alcohol to water intake — you name it, and a vacation can ruin it.
While it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of a new place, it’s also important to remember that if you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll look like shit in all your vacation photos and then you’ll either spend the rest of the trip hiding from the camera or photoshopping the zits off your face before you can post them on Instagram.
Neither option sounds very appealing does it?
So instead of doing that, follow these 14 travel beauty tips from some of your favorite celebrities that will keep you looking flawless, without requiring you to lug around your entire collection of beauty products around the world.
1. Selena Gomez
“Well, I don’t wash my hair every single day — I’ll take a day or two in between to keep it healthy. Pantene has the new Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner, and basically I’ve been using that anytime I wash my hair.”
2. Demi Moore
“I moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. No matter how late it is, when I get home, I take the time to clean and moisturize my face. I’m a big believer in that if you focus on good skin care, you really won’t need a lot of makeup.”

3. Kate Winslet
“A good eye cream is really important when you are traveling, busy and stressed — that’s when the dark puffy circles can get you.”
4. Karlie Kloss
“I love rose-scented nail polish — every girl likes to do her nails, but it can be so stinky. This is such a simple smart solution.”

5. Katy Perry
“I keep a small can of Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray with me when I’m traveling to give my hair lift and texture.”
5. Miranda Kerr
“You can curl your eyelashes with a spoon if you don’t have an eyelash curler.”
6. Emma Watson
“I rarely wear nail polish because I hate how it doesn’t go with everything you wear. But this cool gray color (Lancome Vernis in Love Nail Polish in Gris Angora) is super-neutral and goes with everything.

7. Gigi Hadid
“When I’m traveling I always have Maybelline facial cleansing towelettes with me. Just because when you are at the airport, it’s not fun to wash in the bathroom.”
8. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
“Ask for the biggest bottle of water they can provide and try to drink at least 3–4 liters. I also change straight into comfortable clothes, folding and hanging my airport outfit to avoid any creases.”

9. Paris Hilton
“I never wear any makeup on planes just moisturizer. Then I bring these face masks on the plane, I have one that’s made of 24 carat gold and one that’s made of crushed diamonds. I wear those for the whole plane journey and just let it soak in while I sleep. When we’re about to land, a slick of lip gloss and concealer does the trick.”
10. Taylor Swift
“There are tricks I’ve learned from makeup artists on shoots. They put on the red lipstick, then blot it with a tissue, then they put powder over the tissue and sort of press it onto your lips. Then re-apply. It turns it into a stain that lasts much longer.”
11. Jennifer Aniston
“Water, water, water, on an airplane. If there is a drink happening, it’s usually a Bloody Mary, which I don’t ever order [except] when I’m on an airplane.”
12. Kate Moss
“I always try to sleep on the plane and then stay up when I arrive at my destination, so I get used to my new time zone straight away.”
