Vintage Dior, Front Row Diaries & First-Class Energy: Inside Lauren Luo’s Universe

It-girl, Lauren Luo, doesn’t “influence.” She archives. She documents. She curates. A staple of YouTube lifestyle culture, she’s mastered the art of making shopping with her girls, vintage Chrome Hearts, and international travel feel like part of the daily routine. There’s an ease to her presence — but don’t mistake that for simplicity. Behind every vlog is taste, intention, and a woman who understands the power of aesthetic memory.

In a world of overnight creators, Lauren is longevity. We chat with Lauren about her upbringing, what matters to her most, and get an exclusive on her next at-home project. Yes, we got her to say “Cha nay-nay” on our call. Iconic behavior. Read our exclusive Interview with Lauren below.

FEATURED INTERVIEW:

Tell us about your NYFW weekend — the LaQuan Smith show? That LBD moment was iconic.

“It was such a whirlwind! I had just gotten back from China, which is where I’m originally from. I actually arrived earlier than planned and went straight into NYFW. The LaQuan show was so cute; the after-parties were blah *laughs* — I wore an LV fur with a LaQuan Smith dress. I loved the soundtrack and the venue this season. His pieces are always sexy and a little cunty, which is completely my vibe.”

You’ve built such a strong audience on YouTube. When did you realize social media was really becoming your outlet?

“I think it hit me when people started recognizing me in public. Seeing how excited they were to meet me in person made everything feel genuine. That’s when I realized I wasn’t just posting videos — I was actually building a community of viewers who were genuinely watching and supporting me.”

You’ve grown up between Beijing, the U.S., and now NYC — do you feel fully adapted to New York?

“I think so. I’ve been in the city since 2017, so it’s definitely home now. Beijing is very fast-paced and developed, so I never really had to adjust the way someone from somewhere like L.A. might. NYC is chaotic — there’s always something happening — but that energy feels familiar to me. Both cities are melting pots, full of people from everywhere.”

Your content feels like a FaceTime with your best friend. Do you plan everything out or keep it organic?

“Honestly, I plan a lot of it in my head, laughs. Sometimes I’ll write ideas down, but I never end up referencing the list — I just go and do it. For sit-down videos, I’ll plan those more intentionally. But overall, I’m just having fun. I don’t take it too seriously.”

If your close friends had to describe you in three words?

“Bubbly, outgoing, and flirty.”

What’s the underdog treasure in your closet — the piece you don’t wear enough but secretly adore?

“I have this vintage Versace dress that no one even knows I own. Bella Hadid wore it at Cannes — it’s Fall 2003 and honestly iconic AF. I also have a vintage Cavalli dress inspired by Chinese silhouettes. Both pieces feel super special to me.”

You recently wore Fanci Club — how iconic is that brand right now?

“It’s actually owned by a friend of mine from Vietnam. I visited in December, and it was such an eye-opening experience. The fashion scene there is so advanced — they really understand how to make clothes for girls. I had the best shopping experience; every store had something I wanted. Fanci Club is definitely that hot-girl brand right now.”

You just visited Beijing — what are some beauty standards or secrets there that aren’t as common in the U.S.?

“Skincare in China is really good — and much more affordable compared to the U.S. But when it comes to beauty standards, I’m not the biggest fan of how strict they can be in Asia. It can feel a little toxic. I like how America embraces different types of beauty more openly. Of course, there’s still pressure everywhere, but I feel like there’s more freedom here.”

What beauty products are currently in heavy rotation?

“I love Rhode — the Glazing Milk and the face cream are so good. There’s also this TikTok brand with the best deodorant, I’m obsessed. I just picked up a Givenchy perfume at the airport that I really love. And honestly, my OG favorite will always be Kylie Cosmetics lip gloss.”

What’s next for 2026 — more travel, more fashion, maybe something unexpected?

“Definitely more travel vlogs. I really want to do more cooking videos too — I can actually cook a little Chinese food laughs. I’m also planning a special series with a friend, which I’m really excited about.”

We loved your new YouTube intro (iconic). Can we expect more styling tips?

“Omg yes! I loved watching other girls’ YouTube intros with those cartoon-style animations, so I made my own, and it came out so cute. And yes — more styling videos are coming. I’m actually turning my guest room into another closet, which is going to be so exciting.”

If you could guest-design for any brand, who would you choose?

“Obviously Chrome Hearts! laughs, I’d honestly just design everything I would want for myself.”
