Summer Mckeen doesn’t take summers off.
The 20-year old vlogger has been putting in work all year — and this summer is no exception.
In fact, she just recently launched a lip gloss line with Maybelline and a clothing line with Billabong. Casual.
We talked to Summer about her beauty routine, her current project, and what’s coming up next for her!
What is your morning beauty routine?
I always have to wash my face, put on priming moisturizer (knocking out two birds with one stone!), and I can’t ever forget brightening under-eye cream! After that, I do a very simple no-makeup makeup look and usually wear my hair natural.
What products do you swear by?
I love the Bubble Wrap eye and lip cream by Glossier, always the Hoola bronzer by Benefit for my face and eyelids, Nudestix’s All Over Dewy Color is so good for dewy, blushy cheeks, and Glossier’s Lash Slick mascara is sooo nice.
What product do you never leave home without?
Any kind of lip balm. I am obsessed and ALWAYS need some kind of balm on my lips.
What projects are you working on at the moment?
I’m working with a few of my favorite brands ever on a couple collab projects. I just launched a lip gloss line with Maybelline and a beachy clothing line, perfect for summertime with Billabong Women’s! I’ve been working on these all year so really excited for people to finally be able to see these projects.
What is your biggest inspiration?
Seeing other people in my life put energy toward what they’re passionate about, whether that be friends or family, really inspires me.
Who are your heroes?
My parents for sure. They’ve been through everything with me and supported me more than ever while simultaneously dealing with things going on in their own lives.
What advice would you give your 15 year old self?
Stop doubting yourself and own who you are.
Which trend are you so over?
“Cancelling” people. It’s so sad to me that the internet enjoys this kind of negativity toward someone’s career.
What is next for you?
Currently I’m in the Snapchat series, ENDLESS SUMMER, but I’ve been working on a few different projects that I can’t wait to share with my followers. I love branching out and finding new things to put my creative energy into.
