Sophie Tweed-Simmons Is A Fashion Designer With Girl Power Flair
These days, a woman’s gotta wear more than one hat. In addition to being Gene Simmons’ daughter and staring in a reality TV show with her mother, Sophie Tweed-Simmons is a fashion designer with a flair for success.
Although she’s only 22, Sophie already has three collections under her belt, two of which sold out in just 72 hours. Earlier this month, Sophie launched a new collection of festival-inspired fashion for The Style Club that gets a little help from singers like Beyonce and Lorde.
Why? Girl power, baby.
Each piece in the collection takes its name from a great female performer. As Sophie told The Daily Mail, her collection is “all about female empowerment,” and what better place to find empowerment than in the ladies who rock? Who run the world?
From glittery dresses and faux fur coats to velvet rompers and silk, flower-printed shorts, Sophie’s line expands the notion of what festival fashion can look like. Sure, the staples are all here: kimonos, long cardigans, floral skirts and cropped tops, but why dress like everybody else when you can just be yourself?
Oh, and did we mention that each piece is under $100? Color us obsessed.
