“It’s crazy, but this is the first song I’ve done with a rapper—don’t ask me why—I don’t know! Cadence and I were linked up by our label, MNRK Music Group. I sent him a bunch of unfinished demos, and he chose to record on one that I had sort of soured on—it happens! So I took his vocal and made a new song around it, which I love doing. It felt more like remixing his song. What came out was this glistening, feel-good anthem with one of the best kick drums I’ve ever made—pats self on back—enjoy!”
