Rihanna Is About to Play an Iconic Hitchcock Character on TV
Looks like “Bates Motel” is going out with a bang for their fifth and final season.
With the release of the new trailer, we can’t help to catch a glimpse of our favorite bad gal, Rihanna, at the end.
As you know back in July, the show announced that the singer would be making an appearance during last year’s Comic Con. So this comes as no surprise to us.
Get this, the A&E series decided to bring in Rihanna for not just one simple cameo, but for a multi-episode appearance! Whenever Rihanna does something it’s never basic, so you know she had to come in as the iconic Marion Crane from the 1960s Alfred Hitchcock thriller “Psycho.”

We all know how it ended so abruptly for Marion during the notorious shower scene, but this time the show is putting a twist on things for this upcoming season.
In contrast to the original flick, viewers will get to see a deeper portrayal of the woman who stoled money from her boss’s client to pay off her divorce boyfriend’s debt, who’s now on the run. Executive producer Kerry Ehrin stated, “the internal story of that, for a woman, is a really interesting one. We never really got to see that. In ‘Psycho,’ you just see the outside of that more. It was trying to do a story about a contemporary woman with some edge, with some expectations, who isn’t perfect, who isn’t always perfectly sweet, who is in that situation, but we’re rooting for her to get what she wants.”
