Follow these POC photographers to step up your photo game
These six photographers of color capture what the world is truly like through their lenses. Their projects centers around their heritages, cultures, travels, and most of all, what it is like to be a POC. Their photography is so good, they should have their works show in the MoMA (in my own humble opinion). I believe once you finish insta-stalking them, you will come to the same conclusion.

Priscilla Gaona(@prisjul)
Priscilla Gaona seems to take the most glamorous and beautiful portraits of people while they are doing normal activities. This “afro-latina mami” embraces her roots by cultivating it through her photography projects like “Tribute to Latino Afro Latinidad: La Otra Cara Latina” and “Casa Amadeo.”

If you’ve seen Myles Loftin’s photography, you know each of his projects protray a certain story. His goal for his work is to “create opportunities for other minority artists to gain recognition and access in the art world through social activism and community outreach” according to his website. Myles makes sure to give all his friends a seat at the table by including them as models in his photos.
From his glamorous “80s prom portraits” of DMV influencers and creatives to his renowned and highly praised “Hooded” series, it is clear that his photography creativity shows no bounds.

Let’s just get this out of the way: THIS GIRL IS FRIENDS WITH GUCCI MANE!!!
Now that got your attention didn’t it? Flo Ngala is wayyyyy more than her famous friendships though, because her photography is on it’s own level. The pop of colors she adds in most of her photos are so ~*aesthetically pleasing*~ (in the most non-ironic way) and you will feel so much envy looking through her snaps of her famous friends.

Adrienne Raquel’s photos are the stuff of childhood, candy-land. sugar pop dreams. She takes the “pink is for wednesday’s” concept and shatters it completely. Her IG looks like it was doused with the most prettiest hues of pink. Her photography is the stuff of a cool Tumblr girl’s dreams.

Malcolm Kindrey really embraces the term “Godfidence over everything” (like his IG bio says). You can FEEL his photos exude confidence with a dash of cool. If he is not throwing in some seriously fierce smizing in his photos, he is taking beautifully edgy portraits of people that evoke emotion and passionate vibes.
