Perreo Club was born in 2021 created by local dj and promoter Suxxy Puxxy after the need of creating a queer friendly Latinx space in Downtown Austin to dance underground reggaetón and perreo. The party started at Cuatro Gato located in the heart of West downtown Austin TX and now has taken a mind of it’s own. We chatted with the DJ to learn all about Perreo Club & have an exclusive playlist curated just for Galore readers!
FEATURE INTERVIEW:
How is your creativity disrupting the nightlife space?
I think Perreo Club has become a staple for reggaetón and Latin parties in Texas because of the way the party makes everybody feel welcome no matter their backgrounds. It’s some sort of a Latin rave and the point is to make you feel like you are part of the family, you are part of the club.
What are your aspirations for Perreo in the next few years? Are there any new projects or ideas in the pipeline?
Yes, next year is gonna be the start of a new season for Perreo Club. Gonna start bringing more guests into town, and there’s a lot of collaborations in the making as well. I think my biggest aspiration for the project would be to be able to bring together everybody I have worked with along the way in a huge event.
What advice would you give to aspiring DJs and club owners looking to make their mark in the industry?
Patience, and trying to find a good team that shares the same values, that’s the key to success I think. This industry can be really exhausting and is important to be able to trust the people around you.

Relax, babe — We’ve got you. Whether it’s his first
