The music video, shot by Local Craftsmanship Media, captures the raw energy of NYC streets. The two met while filming a ScarLip concert at the iconic SOB’s, and the collaboration brings their shared vision to life. Produced by Malachi Mabson, a band member of Down to Mars, “Bronx Whine to Amapiano” showcases not only the songwriting talents of Møya, but that of her bestie Deme Brown and French engineer Madja. The vibrant cover art was shot at Bronx Native, a cultural hub in the South Bronx run by local trendsetters, grounding the track firmly in Møya’s roots.

Influenced by her initial exposure and travels to South Africa in 2019 as an NYU student, where she explored the regions of KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town, the song encompasses the next frontier in Rey’s lyrical rap game. Recorded in Paris, France and filmed in New York, “Bronx Whine to Amapiano”  is more than just a song—it’s a cross-continental vibe that reflects Møya Rey’s eclectic influences.

She’s already promoted the track on BronxNet TV and The After Hour Show, and it’s clear this artist is just getting started!
